There are a lot of things to consider when choosing your wedding cake, I can help you choose the perfect cake for your wedding and ensure that you and your guests have a beautiful delicious cake on the day!
Size
Wedding cakes can be as big or as small as you wish, but the two main things to think about are how you want it to look and how many servings you need. Fruit cake serves twice as many as sponge cake so it can be a good idea to have at least one tier as fruit cake to ensure you have enough pieces to feed everybody.
If you like the idea of a large cake but are only having a small number of guests and don't want too much left over, the cake can be 'bulked up' with fake tiers - polystyrene dummies decorated to match the other tiers - only you will know it's not all real!
Flavours
Your cake can be any of the following flavours, or if you choose to have tiers you can mix and match the flavours:
- Vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and buttercream
- Chocolate cake with chocolate or plain buttercream
- Chocolate orange cake with chocolate or orange buttercream
- Rich chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache
- Lemon cake with lemon buttercream and lemon curd
- Rich brandy matured fruit cake
- Wheat free vanilla sponge (up to 7" only)
Cupcakes can have almost any sort of topping, with the most popular being either a swirl of buttercream or a decorated fondant 'lid'.
Cupcakes can be any of the following flavours:
- Vanilla
- Chocolate
- Chocolate orange
- Lemon and poppyseed
- Red velvet with cream cheese butter icing
Decoration
I can decorate your wedding cake in pretty much any way you can imagine. Whether you have an exact requirement or no ideas at all, I can work with you to design your perfect cake. Many people match the cake to the colours used in the rest of the wedding: flowers, bridesmaids' dresses, venue decor, etc.
Stand hire
I can provide the stand for your cake. I will require a deposit which will be returned to you once the stand is returned to me.

Delivery
Wedding cakes will be delivered to your venue and set up in situ, this service is free within a 10 mile radius of North Curry, all additional distances will be charged at 60p per mile. All cakes will be boxed and ready for transporting.
Prices
Prices vary enormously from cake to cake, but as soon as you have decided on the basics of your cake I can give you an idea of how much it will cost.
Prices for cupcakes are more simple:
